In face to face appointment, you meet one of our doctors who takes a full medical history and performs physical examinations, listens to your concerns, and discusses your case in detail. In the end, a medical path is tailored to meet your needs. If more investigations, i.e., blood/urine/stool tests, MRI/CT scan, or ECG/ECHO are needed, they will be arranged, and the results will be analyzed and reflected on the final report.
You are advised to share the report with other medical professionals including your NHS GP or specialists. It can be chased either through the NHS or If you need a private specialist, it would be discussed with you initially, and after obtaining your consent, an appointment will be arranged for you. There would be no extra charge for the referrals, but you must pay for the specialist consultation.

LPU is now providing Dr consultations with a private Dr either by telephone or face to face, depending on your preference. During the consultation you can talk to the Dr about any health concerns you have, safely and securely.
Our doctor will take a history of your problem and perform physical examination. More investigations are arranged if needed. In case of need for medical treatment, prescription is provided with no further charges. Referral letters to private specialists could be part of management plan with no extra cost. Should you wish to return to the NHS system, we are happy to provide your GP with a letter comprises of your health information, the results of the investigations and recommendations on your request.
During your consultation our Drs can arrange your referral to a specialist consultant if necessary.
Yes, if an appointment is available and you would like one the same day this will be offered at booking. Our last appointment time is currently 6.30pm. If you’re interested in a same day appointment and one is not available, you’ll be offered an alternative and contacted if a sooner appointment becomes available.
Payment for the appointment can be made by any of the following credit, debit cards; Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Delta, or American Express. We are not accepting cash or cheque. You’ll be required to secure your booking with card details.
You can reschedule or cancel your appointment with a 24hrs notice by sending an email to Info@londonsono.com. A cancellation charge will be applied equal to the full cost of your appointment if you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice.
No, you do not need any private medical insurance to use our service. The cost of a private doctor consultation will be the same whether or not you have private health insurance in the UK. Most private medical insurance plans do not cover private GP consultations.
There are no additional or hidden fees. The cost of a private doctor consultation is transparent - there are no extra private doctor consultation fees for referral letters, or issuing prescriptions.
You can choose a remote consultation (over the phone) for £75 or a face to face consultation for £125. Although, during your remote consultation, our Dr. will advise you for a face to face consultation if necessary.
In your consultation the Dr will write a prescription for you which you can cash in the pharmacies. You will need to pay at pharmacy to collect your private prescription.
