Ultrasound for tennis elbow

We are very frequently asked if ultrasound can detect tennis elbow and the merits of ultrasound for tennis elbow, the fact is that it is actually one of the most frequent reasons for this type of scan along with golfers elbow. The two are resultant from inflammation of the elbow joint, tennis elbow causing this to the outer side of the elbow and golfer’s to the inner part of the elbow joint. Ultrasound is a valuable tool to provide advanced imagery of the area, it can detect causes of inflammation and also any instances of cysts, growths or other abnormalities. We can also offer tennis elbow treatments for the pain and our reports from the ultrasound scan will allow you to take these further treatment steps as required.
